Welcome to the opening event @Restaurant Koulu 3rd June!
Open Finland Challenge is a competition for digital innovations promoting open society. Open for all, the purpose of the competition is to produce new, innovative applications, ideas or concepts which make use of open data and/or in other ways boost the development of open society. The competition has been arranged from 2009 under the name Apps4Finland and within the last few years there has also been regional competitions around Finland.
Also this year regional competitions will be arranged. Organized by Lounaispaikka, in the Southwest Finland regional competition the theme for 2015 is mobility. The aim is to find new solutions in traffic, parking, traffic safety, mobility & accessibility, commuting, leisure activities etc. The total sum of prizes is at the moment already over 6 000 euros!
Partners, challenge categories, rules and prizes of Open Southwest Finland Challenge are announced Wednesday 3rd June 2015 at 2.00pm in Restaurant Koulu (Eerikinkatu 18, Turku).
The festival features industry focused talks and presentations for professional digital employees, workshops and networking for students, entrepreneurs, investors, and executives. The overall theme is the internet and new opportunities for innovation, business, public service, jobs, and growth.
Mobile apps, FaceBook, Twitter, online hotel bookings, and email communication represent only a few aspects of the services many of us use on a daily basis. Citizens – families, kids, and seniors – everyone will see a number of exciting events in the urban space.
Sveriges Kommuner och Landsting in cooperation with e-delegetionen, samtrafiken and several others, invites you to a day of reflection. During the day we’ll reflect on three areas that are described below in detail.
The target group for the three areas are people who works with open data in the public sector.
HELSINKI 11:30am: Open data – Insights for Business
Open data has a huge business potential – but how to turn the potential into real business? This entrepreneur spirited event will dig in into open data business models with real examples and experiences. The hands-on part of the event is a service design ideation workshop with open data opportunities and ideas for solutions and business.

Welcome to meat and vege people, eat good food, enjoy the new OKFFI space We expect to see people interested in GIS, SIRI, GTFS, geocoder, mydata, encryption etc.
The main goal is to establish the recommendation for SIRI/GTFS API in 2015. We are going to have reference code and a production environment to test the capabilities. Each city has the opportunity to compare their API:s, data, performance, client use cases and interoperability.
