MyData is a human-centered approach to personal information management and processing. It gives people the right and practical means to access to data collected about them such as purchasing data, traffic data, telecommunications data, medical records, financial information and data derived from various online services.

Essentially giving people control over the data concerning them would enable lots of new business opportunities since most of this data is not available or is very costly for companies. Transfer of personal data between organizations based on user consent (or user initiative) allows individuals to choose the service providers they trust with their data. MyData would bring transparency to personal data usage, enhance privacy and guarantee data portability by allowing individuals to control how their data is used and also re-direct their information in a reusable way to be used by other services that they authorize. MyData is a global phenomenon and the future scenario, around which technology and business is being developed at a growing pace.

In the seminar you will get the latest update about the MyData movement in Finland and elsewhere.
